WMC-the Global leadership and networking platform of 8.5 million Malayalee Diaspora with active chapters in 64 International Cities has joined hands for socio-economic development of our country especially our mother land-Kerala. Wmc aims at creating a dynamic link between the Malayalee Diaspora and the mother land to enhance and empower the social capital of the Community, inculcating the core values of Diversity and Excellence.
All of us are aware that our society is confronting with the crucial problems of environmental degradation – a great challenge to very existence of our mankind. Though the concept of environmental protection; its conservation and preservation have already been incorporated in our curriculum vitae, in our practical life how the multi-dimensional issues of environmental protection have been resolved is a matter which require an anxious consideration, giving more thrust to our youths.
In the field of scientific disposal of both solid and liquid waste, water conservation and preservation, protection of rivers, back waters and water bodies to encourage organic farming etc. are the major issues and challenges which require comprehensive solution by adopting latest scientific and technological innovations now available all over the world.
Taking note of this great challenge the wmc-Global Environment Council has formulated a global competition for promoting Environment Protection Projects under the name and title ‘Protect the Mother Nature’. As its first initiative, we are inviting various projects from institutions, organizations, NGO’s and also among individuals for their presentation of their respective innovative projects.
We are also fully aware that the media both print and electronic are also playing a vital role in the field of protection of environment by educating and sensitizing the public and hence the best media presentation for the promotion and protection of environment is also included in the competition.
